Lagrein is an autochthonous variety of Trentino/Alto Adige of high quality. Produces excellent wines, from „Lagrein Kretzer“ and „Bauernlagrein“ to „Lagrein Dunkel“. The variety is demanding regarding site and soil. Loose, productive, rapidly warming soils are the best Lagrein areas.
